Lake Arragan & Red Cliff

The travel bug kicked in again so I hustled James, Luke and Febi out to go camping down at one of my favourite places Yuraygir National Park but at a different campground. The boys chose Lake Arragan and Red Cliff so we made the 4 hour journey. We stopped by the small Scottish town of Australia, Maclean and browsed the Stone Cottage Museum on the way. We also did a sneaky steal of a sugarcane to enjoy during the trip.

It was a beautiful site with an array of terrains to enjoy – from white sands, to a tea-stained lake, to red craters, wild kangaroos and azure surfs – there was so much to explore. Only one thing stopped us though, the wind was absolutely insane. It made it unbearable, tents took forever to set up, campfire embers constantly decorated us from head to toe and the many layers of clothes were not enough to break us into warmth. Despite that, we had an amazing time and I’ll let the photos do the talking.
