First Mandarin Cover with Tsai Chin’s 你的眼神

I had fun learning this one! Within the last year or so, I’ve really been trying to up my Mandarin game. I’ve broken through some shy barriers and have actually started to try and speak it here and there. I thought learning a Mandarin song would be a fun way to keep pushing those boundaries so I chose a classic 80s folk song that my mother liked, learned the words and meaning and made my own interpretation of it.

Here is 蔡琴 - 你的眼神。Hope you enjoy!

Just for an update as it has been a very long time since I’ve blogged… I’ve been reworking and discovering my artistry in preparation for my next EP. I wanted to give myself the time and luxury to really find new sounds and style. Also, I really had to work at kicking my writer’s block up the bottom by setting myself into a space I felt creative in and a routine I can stick by. It took a while but I’m getting there now. Can’t wait to start working on some new gems for you all to feast your ears upon. x
