Had a big day yesterday!
In the morning I headed in to 4ZZZ to chat with Quentin of Divers-A-Tea and played an acoustic version of Cupid.
In the evening the band and I made an makeshift acoustic getup as this week’s house band for ABC Radio Evenings with David Curnow with Lachie Mackintosh and the boys at 4 Pillars Gin down in the Yarra Valley.
The ABC office was gorgeous! Perched right between the Southbank ferris wheel and QPAC, we were invited through the underground carpark where a voice through different speakers told us where to go. We kind of felt like we were in a scene out of Saw.
We got thrown on air without a sound check or too much sound coming back through to us so it was hard! We played 3 tunes across the hour segment and had a little chit chat. Also got to enjoy some gin & tonic. The boys and I had a great time, it was such a fantastic experience to have. Hope to be back.
I got a few messages from people that were tuned in. One from an old AirBnb host that I used over a year ago! Funny what music does.
